What changed on 1 November 2025

Support at Home replaced Home Care Packages and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme on 1 November 2025. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) transitions into Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027. Services are categorised as Clinical Care, Independence, and Everyday Living, each with different co-contribution rules.

Where allied health fits

Physiotherapy, exercise physiology and occupational therapy sit within Clinical Care. Eligible participants pay no personal contribution for Clinical Care services under the new framework.
